IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - April 24
Dear PAYSA families,
We would like to inform you that, following direction from the City of Prince Albert, the start of the Outdoor 2026 season for all U9 to U17/19 age groups will be delayed.
The U5 and U7 programs will begin as scheduled (May 5th), as these sessions are held indoors and are not impacted by current field or weather conditions.
Due to current field conditions and recent weather, outdoor fields will not be ready for use by the original start dates. The City has advised that ongoing moisture and low temperatures continue to delay safe field preparation.
The new season start is planned for the week of May 11th. We will provide further updates if this timeline changes.
To accommodate the delay, makeup games originally scheduled for the first week of May will now take place on Saturday, June 6th. Full schedules will be posted on our website shortly.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Please be aware of the following Saskatchewan Soccer Association policy, which we are required to follow as a member organization:In games, the match official has the authority over delaying or restarting a match due to weather. Waiting to stop play or not waiting to start or re-start play may result in a serious injury or loss of life. Match officials are expected to act responsibly when dealing with such events during games they are controlling. If you can hear thunder, you can get hit by lightning. As soon as you hear thunder, quickly get to a safe location. More people are struck before and after a thunderstorm than during one. Stay inside for 30 minutes after the last rumble of thunder. The ‘30/30 Rule’ or ‘Flash to Bang’ methods are no longer recommended by Environment Canada and are not to be used by match officials, team personnel, or participants. We want to emphasize that the safety of our participants is our top priority. While thunder and lightning requires games to be delayed or potentially cancelled, please note that games will continue rain or shine, AS RAIN ALONE DOES NOT WARRANT CANCELLATION. |
